Thank you for your interest in finding solutions to the Winter Permit/ CP Rail trespass concern in Glacier National Park. We are committed to engaging the backcountry community, and invite you to the first of our working sessions. Information on the sessions is below.

We have two goals: solving this immediate challenge; and beginning to look at the broader Winter Permit System. These sessions are the beginning of that conversation. Over the next while we will have a variety of activities and ways for you to participate.

The sessions next week will begin with a brief overview of the Winter Permit System and the avalanche control program. A "roll up your sleeves" mapping exercise will explore access to the five Restricted Areas in question. We will also capture broader questions and ideas related to backcountry use in Mount Revelstoke and Glacier national parks.

We hope to see you next week or hear from you through our e-mail account. Feel free to share this information!

RSVP: Please reply to this email if you plan to attend one of the evening sessions.
