Sterling Women's Mountaineering Camp taking place in Bugaboo Provincial Park from July 3rd-7th

There is still room in the Sterling Women's Mountaineering Camp taking place in Bugaboo Provincial Park from Thursday, July 3rd to Monday, July 7th, 2008. ACMG certified guides, Kirsten Knechtel and Sarah Hueniken are leading this camp from the luxurious Conrad Kain Hut.
This course is designed for women who want to move up from being second on the rope and want to learn how to travel safely and efficiently in the mountains. A high level of fitness with some previous mountain experience is required however, all travel skills will be covered during the course. Course covers: snow + ice skills, glacier travel, rock skills, ice + rock anchors and, crevasse rescue systems. Group dynamics, leadership and mountain management topics are also covered. Last year, baseball caps and thrice plastering of sunscreen were crucial.
Cost of trip is determined by the number of participants and includes: food for the 5 days, hut and park fees, guides, instruction, GST and....a free Sterling Rope Cordalette! The camp is limited to eight participants.
