The club is considering the purchase of a digital projector to be used at events such as monthly meetings, the AGM, movie presentations, slide shows, etc.
Currently the club doesn't own a projector. Each time a projector is required it's a real challenge to beg, borrow, or steal one (okay not steal one) in time for the presentation. Having a dedicated projector available for a presenter would be a big help.
The major requirement for a projector is that it can be used effectively in a medium sized room or hall (bigger than an average living room) under relatively bright lighting conditions since we are not always able to adequately reduce the ambient light level at our venues.
Some research has shown that a projector that would meet these requirements would cost approximately $1000.
